DESCRIPTION: Northampton Museum & Art Gallery\, Northampton\, NN1 1DP\n\n\n\n\n Sat 18th January 2025\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Enlightenment\n\nJoin some of Fiori’s favourite players to celebrate New Year 2025. \nTo honour Albert Schweitzer - musician\, philosopher & humanitarian (who was born 150 years ago in January 1875) – Fiori perform a New Year concert of Enlightenment music\, fittingly set in Northampton’s Museum & Art Gallery & featuring Heidi Fardell flute & Kerstin Linder-Dewan in amiable flute quartets by some of the Enlightenment’s lesser known pioneering musical spirits.  This concert takes place in the fine centrally located setting of Northampton’s recently refurbished Museum & Art Gallery. \nJC Bach        Flute quartet III in C\nJP Salomon  Duo for violin and cello in G\nFiorillo            Flute quartet no.6 in E minor\nCPE Bach      Flute divertimento in G (642)\nF Benda        Violin sonata in C minor\nT Giordani    Flute quartet in D op2 no5 \nFiori Musicali Chamber Ensemble\non authentic instruments \nHeidi Fardell flute\nKerstin Linder-Dewan violin\nPoppy Walshaw cello\n& the Fiori Chamber Ensemble\nPenelope Rapson harpsichord/director \nTickets:\nMain area – £30\nRestricted view – £20\nconcessions\, for children\, students and blue badge \nThis concert is supported by the Continuo Foundation
