DESCRIPTION:The true story of two Northamptonshire criminal gangs who faced justice at Northampton’s County Buildings in the C18th. The talk will include information about the Sessions House and County Gaol. \nWhilst writing a book about the Culworth Gang I researched where they were imprisoned\, tried and hanged in Northampton (in 1787) – I was disappointed to find there was no guide book available for this range of fascinating buildings at the heart of the town. Initially I wrote a single page information sheet about each building\, intended for free distribution from the Town’s Information office.  The content was extended and reworked into a book after the Information Office was closed.\nGaols\, Gallows and Ghosts was published in 2023. \nPlease contact Central Library with any queries on: northampton.libraryplus@westnorthants.gov.uk
