SUMMARY:Varna International Ballet 2025
DESCRIPTION:Raymond Gubbay presents Varna International Ballet\, returning for a new season in 2025\, with three classic ballets brought to life by magical special effects. \nPerformed by Varna International Ballet\nAccompanied by live orchestra the Varna International Ballet Orchestra \nSwan Lake\nTue 4 March 7.30pm \n \nThe greatest romantic ballet of all time is brought to life by Tchaikovsky’s haunting and unforgettable score. From the impressive splendour of the Palace ballroom to the moon-lit lake where swans glide in perfect formation\, this compelling tale of tragic romance has it all. From Odile\, the temptress in black tulle\, as she seduces the Prince by spinning with captivating precision to the spellbound purity of the swan queen Odette\, as she flutters with emotional intensity\, the dual role of Odette/Odile is one of ballet’s most unmissable technical challenges.

SUMMARY:Varna International Ballet 2025
DESCRIPTION:Raymond Gubbay presents Varna International Ballet\, returning for a new season in 2025\, with three classic ballets brought to life by magical special effects. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPerformed by Varna International Ballet\nAccompanied by live orchestra the Varna International Ballet Orchestra \n\n\n\n\n  \nThe Nutcracker\nWed 5 March 2.30pm & 7.30pm \n \nThis most famous of fantasy ballets for all the family begins as night falls on Christmas Eve. As snowflakes fall outside\, the warm glow of the open fire sends flickering shadows across the boughs of the Christmas tree and all the presents beneath. When midnight strikes we are swept away to a fairy-tale world where nothing is quite as it seems; toy dolls spring to life\, the Mouse-king and his mouse-army battle with the Nutcracker Prince and we travel through the Land of Snow to an enchanted place where the magic really begins…

SUMMARY:Levellers Collective: Spring 2025 Acoustic Tour
DESCRIPTION:After two highly acclaimed acoustic tours and albums in recent years\, the Levellers Collective bring their new tour to Northampton this March. \nThe Collective live shows\, and albums\, came about after the Levellers decided to do something a bit different with their extensive back catalogue in 2018. Together with members of fellow Brighton group The Moulettes\, they went on to record two albums radically reworking their songs – with producer John Leckie (We The Collective) and Sean Lakeman (Together All The Way). \nThe new acoustic arrangements of those Levellers songs\, old and new\, can now also be seen and heard on a new Live Album & DVD which was recorded in 2023 at London’s iconic Hackney Empire. The film captures the spirit of the Levellers as never seen before as multiple cameras were positioned onstage for the recording and the result is a truly privileged vantage point.
