This much-shortened version of Shakespeare’s famous tragedy concentrates on the background of Othello and relationship between Othello and Iago. Things start to go wrong when  Desdemona and Cassio appear on the scene and they all career towards a climactic finish through their dystopian setting against a backdrop of industrial electronic music\, digital dreams and dark landscapes. The piece incorporates dance\, poignant snippets of Shakespeare’s text\, creative captions and BSL. \nStarring a black\, gender-fluid Othello\, we bring the story bang up to date as social commentary of our times.  Is this the future of theatre?
