SUMMARY:What’s Love Got To Do With It?
DESCRIPTION:After a sensational 2025 that saw over 60\,000 Tina Turner fans across the UK singing\, dancing\, and having the time of their lives\, What’s Love Got To Do With It? is back and bigger than ever for 2026! This electrifying tribute show celebrates the music and unparalleled career of the one and only Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll\, Tina Turner. \nGet ready for an unforgettable evening of high-energy\, feel-good rock and soul\, brought to life by a phenomenal live band. Packed with all the classic hits you know and love\, the show delivers showstopping performances of Proud Mary\, River Deep – Mountain High\, Simply The Best\, Private Dancer\, Nutbush City Limits\, and many more. \nStepping into Tina’s iconic heels is Kent’s own Holly Bannis\, the daughter of Greg Bannis\, former lead singer of Hot Chocolate. Holly’s rise to center stage is as inspiring as it is exciting. Growing up in a musical family\, Holly honed her craft for over a decade performing semi-professionally before an audition on ITV’s Starstruck changed her life. “I had to audition as three of my musical icons\, and Tina was an obvious choice for me. During lockdown\, I studied her performances obsessively\, getting into her moves\, her walk\, and her energy.” \nIt wasn’t long before the team behind What’s Love Got To Do With It? noticed Holly’s raw talent and passion. Initially cast as a backing singer and understudy\, Holly quickly stepped into the spotlight\, making the lead role her own and earning standing ovations night after night. \nAudiences can expect a show bursting with energy\, emotion\, and that signature Tina fire. The production kicks off with hits like Private Dancer\, as Holly fully inhabits Tina’s powerful vocals and unmistakable moves\, transporting fans to the heart of a live Tina Turner concert experience. Then\, in the show-stopping second half\, the audience is guaranteed to be on their feet\, dancing and singing along to high-octane classics like Nutbush City Limits. \nWhat’s Love Got To Do With It? isn’t just a concert – it’s a celebration of Tina Turner’s legacy\, a night of unrelenting joy\, and a tribute to one of the most electrifying performers in music history. \nPlease note that this is a tribute production and is not endorsed by or affiliated with the Tina Turner Estate.

SUMMARY:From the Collection: Drawings
DESCRIPTION:An exhibition of drawings from the Northampton Museums & Art Gallery collection. \nThis exhibition explores drawing as a fundamental artistic language\, presenting preparatory sketches and finished works that reveal how ideas take shape on paper. Through the delicate studies of Henry Moore\, the atmospheric sketches of Walter Sickert\, the imaginative designs of Sir Edward Burne Jones\, and the expressive drawings of Clare Abbatt\, amongst others\, visitors are invited to consider drawing not merely as a preliminary step but as an art form in its own right. The works on display highlight how artists across different periods and practices use line\, tone\, and observation to experiment\, problem solve\, and refine their vision. Together\, they celebrate drawing’s enduring role as a tool for exploration\, invention\, and creative thinking.

SUMMARY:Rose Finn Kelcey: House Rules
DESCRIPTION:Arts Collective launches its new gallery programme with an exhibition revisiting the pioneering work of British conceptual artist Rose Finn-Kelcey\, curated by Emer Grant. This marks the first presentation of the artist’s work in her hometown of Northampton. \nFeaturing photographic\, installation and video works loaned from national collections and archives\, the exhibition recontextualises Finn-Kelcey’s groundbreaking practice through architectural space and coded forms. It considers how formal systems and power structures shape experience through architecture\, language\, ritual and atmosphere. \nExhibited publicly for the first time since its original installation\, Bar Doors (1991) captures architectural thresholds\, foregrounding moments of passage between spaces. The photographic documentation of Finn-Kelcey’s site-specific installation—seven saloon-style doors installed in a Houston city park—invites viewers to reconsider familiar architectural features as markers of access and permission. \nThe exhibition also explores Finn-Kelcey’s fascination with spirituality and its connections to the commercial and domestic structures of contemporary life\, featuring works such as It Pays to Pray (1990)\, God Kennel – A Tabernacle (1992) and Jolly God (1997). Her iconic flag works are also presented\, including documentation of Power for the People (1972)\, in which a collective political declaration was placed directly onto the monumental architecture of Battersea Power Station while it remained operational. \nThroughout the exhibition\, architecture\, movement and attention shape how the works are encountered. Finn-Kelcey’s work offers a lens through which to experience 24 Guildhall Road as an active structure—shaped by play\, language and collective imagination. \n\n\n\n\nImage Credit: Rose Finn-Kelcey Bar Doors (Photograph of installation) 1991 \nWood\, Houston International Festival\, Buffalo Bayou Park\, Houston\, Texas. SUMMARY:Nigel Kennedy: A Virtuoso Concert Performance
DESCRIPTION:Nigel Kennedy\, one of the most distinctive and influential violinists of his generation\, returns home to the UK with Virtuoso\, his first major national tour in over fifteen years. \nRenowned for his uncompromising artistry and singular style\, Kennedy has performed at the world’s leading concert halls\, from Carnegie Hall to the Sydney Opera House. This tour offers a rare opportunity to experience his work live in performance at Royal & Derngate. \nThe programme brings together classical repertoire with jazz and contemporary influences. It includes Bach\, Kennedy’s own interpretation of A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square\, and original compositions\, including a tribute to his mentors Yehudi Menuhin and Stéphane Grappelli. \nHe is joined by long-time collaborators Alec Dankworth on bass and Peter Adams on cello\, forming an exceptional ensemble of musical sensitivity and precision. \nKennedy’s landmark recording of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons established him as a defining figure in modern classical music. His performances continue to be marked by technical brilliance and emotional depth. \nAn opportunity to experience one of the great violinists of our time\, a true virtuoso. \n“One of the most important violinists Britain has ever produced” – The Guardian
