DESCRIPTION:NN Project Space at Vulcan Works\, Fetter Street\, NN1 1EW \nOpening Hours Wed – Sat 11am – 5pm \n  \nFeaturing: Emma Davies\,  Annabelle Shelton Priya Chohan-Padia\, Stuart Moore\, Dylan Fox\, Minnie Teckman\, Emi Fujisawa\, and Carol Jacobs \n  \nFrom April 4th to April 13th the exhibition will feature creative works stemming from a year-long project developed in Northampton. \n  \nLed by Emma Davies and Annabelle Shelton\, Lead Artists for C2C Social Action\, along with six artists\, this iteration expanded on a project initiated by Sally Sheinman in 2019. Collaborating with three organizations across Northampton\, Shelton worked with women participants from C2C\, while Davies led artists working with mixed groups at Sol Haven and Northampton Hope Centre. Through artist-led workshops and a person-centered approach\, participants explored various art forms\, fostering collaboration and expression. The exhibition highlights the transformative influence of art within the A-I-R program\, enriching the cultural landscape and advocating for inclusivity.

SUMMARY:Opening Reception - Illusion\, Interaction\, Introspection - UON Photography Final Year Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:NN and University of Northampton (UON) are delighted to present ‘Illusion\, Interaction\, Introspection’\, an exhibition by the collective Atelier17\, final year BA Photography students of UON. This exhibition is a result of their final creative works produced over the course of their final year.\n\nThe exhibition comprises seventeen different conceptual approaches and artistic mediums surrounding different forms of photographic practice\, presented through\, among other formats\, installations\, sculptures\, digital screens\, and printed works. The title ‘Illusion\, Interaction\, Introspection’ refers to the multiplicity of the practices in the exhibition\, which explore hyperreality\, nostalgia\, illusions\, mental health\, movement\, sensory stimulation\, and fantasy.\n\n‘Illusion\, Interaction\, Introspection’ has been curated by the students in collaboration with NN as part of their ‘Practice Exhibition’ module\, with Paula Zambrano leading as Curator. Throughout the module various members of the NN staff worked with students to develop an exhibition project and invited guest speakers from the professional artworld to mentor the students and share practice and expertise on the curatorial and developing professional creative practice. Guest Speakers for 2023 included Angelica Sule (Site Gallery Sheffield) & Joseph Constable (De La Warr Pavilion). The exhibition invites the public to come and experience the creative outcome of three years studying as these graduates transition to the next stage of their careers.\n\nNN and Atelier17 invite everyone to come and experience the culmination of three years work as these graduates transition to the next stage of their careers. The exhibition will be held from 22nd-30th May\, 10am-4pm\, at the temporary NN Contemporary Art Project Space in Vulcan Works\, Unit 9\, which is accessed via Fetter Street.\n\nOn Thursday 25th May the exhibition will open its doors later from 6pm-8pm for a special Opening Reception\, where all members of Atelier17 will be present to talk about their work in more detail.
