Spitfire Girls is inspired by the extraordinary true stories of the women who dared to fly during WWII and the incredible bond that tied them together. Funny and heart-warming, this is an untold story of strength, courage and loss. But above all else, hope. Spitfire Girls was developed with the support of the National Theatre’s Generate programme. Films start at 8.15pm promptly with no trailers - first we have short film 'Far From The Plains'. Hot off the back of Netflix’s hit show Adolescence, 'Far From the Plains' stars the up-and-coming Amari Bacchus alongside acclaimed, BRIT-nominated artist, Kojey Radical, in his first film role, as well as Faith Alabi of HBO’s Industry and Luca Guadagnino’s We Are Who We Are. Then we have feature film 'Never Had A Chance', Jazz Bhalla's debut feature, a British Asian drama set in West London, Hounslow's Punjabi community. Doors open 20 minutes before the films start. Northampton Filmhouse has step free access to the screening room but only 1 wheelchair space and only 1 row of chairs without using steps.
