SUMMARY:'49 Miles More' with shorts 'Blackpool' & 'Toad in the Hole' (18) with filmmaker Q&A
DESCRIPTION:Comedy and drama your thing? We promise you laughs and plenty of drama with this selection. You’ll be able to put your questions to some of the filmmakers after the screening. \nBen Norris’ debut short\, comedy ‘Toad in the Hole’ premiered at London Film Festival 2025 before heading off on the festival circuit. We also have NFF alumni Stephen Gallacher back with his latest short ‘Blackpool’. Shane Meadows says it’s “A cracking short that punches harder than the usual drama…. Beautifully shot and acted short that finds massive heart and humour in the guts of Blackpool.” \nThese shorts are followed by feature ’49 Miles More’. While driving to an annual reunion with their university friends\, Max\, an unsuccessful insurance salesman\, and his fun loving buddy\, Doug break down. With 50 miles to go\, their only option is to brave the wilderness on foot.
