DESCRIPTION:A simple scroll through Instagram or TikTok and you’ll be left questioning: do I have ADHD? The rise in ADHD in adults is undeniable. But only over the last decade has ADHD been formally recognised in the UK. It has been suggested that about 1.5 million adults in the UK have ADHD but only 120\,000 have been diagnosed. Waiting times to access an adult ADHD specialist clinic in the NHS can be up to 2 years or more. It’s hard to find support and help. \nFrom dopamine dips\, hits and myths\, how ADHD can present differently in women than men\, and the neuroscience of neurodiversity; this talk is designed to give you an increased awareness and understanding of an ADHD brain. It will include advice and tips on how to navigate a neurotypical world as a neurodivergent person. \nThis talk will also highlight how society is demanding change. People are increasingly recognising and accepting neurodiversity and self-defining as neurodivergent. Surely\, it’s time for the world to alter neurotypical societal standards as they are fast becoming outdated. \nDoors open at 7pm\, talk starts at 7.30pm – come down early to grab a good seat!

It is a Grade II* listed building. Northampton’s Guildhall speaks volumes of the thriving economy and cultural aspirations of the town in the mid 19th century. We have mens\, womens & childrens clothing plus shoes\, bags\, belts & small accessories. Items are sorted by category and presented on rails though we’re unable to sort by size\, so you’re best just getting stuck in! You can find our more about what type of products we have as well as what brands you might see here on our website. \nHow does I shop? \nGrab a bag on entry and get ready to rummage! Add your finds to your bag\, removing any hangers as you shop. Use the mirrors to try before you buy and when you’re ready\, our till team will weigh your haul and calculate the price at our rate of £20 per kilo. You can read more info about our events on our website. \nHow does the price work? \nEverything is £20 per kilo\, though we price in fractions so 0.05kg is just £1\, we work out the exact price (no rounding up) so don’t worry about hitting whole kilos! \nCertain items are maximum £20 because they’re super heavy\, this price cap helps bring the cost wayyy down. This includes long Winter coats\, sheepskin\, wax\, leather jackets\, faux fur & denim jackets. Shoes & bags are also maximum £10 an item too.

DESCRIPTION:The tour will allow you to visit areas of the Guildhall which are not always open to the public. \n  \nWe meet in the Spencer Percival foyer of the Guildhall. This is the entrance to the old part of the Guildhall by the public toilets and statue of Spencer Percival. From there. we will explore areas including council and public meeting rooms\, the old Town Hall keepers living quarters and the basement cells. \n  \nThe maximum group size for tours is 12. \n  \nAlthough all public areas of the building are accessible by lift\, the basement can only be reached by stairs. \n  \nDue to uneven floors in places\, please wear appropriate footwear. \n  \nThis tour is not suitable for children under 8 years old. \n  \nAll children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. \n  \nTours will last approximately 1 hour.

DESCRIPTION:West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) invites the public to join them to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD) at the Guildhall in Northampton on Saturday\, 5 March from 11am – 3pm. \n  \nThe event which brings together local organisations that champion women\, is being held to mark International Women’s Day which this year falls on Tuesday\, 8 March. \n  \nOrganised by the WNC Women’s Forum\, the event will support this year’s IWD theme which is #BreakTheBias\, with local organisations and groups on hand to talk to the public about the unfair treatment women can face day to day and what support and advice is available. \n  \nThe organisations taking part include Northampton Domestic Abuse Services; Northampton Community Foundation; NLive Radio; United African Association; Rights of Women; Doddridge Centre; Sikh Community Centre and Youth Club; VCSE Assembly; Peak Empower; Crimestoppers; NN Journal; The Co-op; Belling Community House Sewing Group; Neals Yard remedies; Albanian Cultural Association; Moldovian and Romanian Community and Collingtree Park Care Homes.
