Peppa Pig and George set to entertain families at Northampton’s Christmas festivities

October 2019: Special guests Peppa Pig and George will be meeting families on Saturday, November 23 in the Grosvenor Shopping Centre ahead of Northampton’s Christmas lights switch-on.

Families and fans will be able to meet and greet the cheeky little piggies, completely free of charge thanks to Northampton town centre BID. Peppa Pig and George will be based upstairs in the Northampton shopping centre, appearing at separate intervals between 11.15am to 4.45pm.

Peppa Pig will then make a guest appearance at 5pm on the Market Square stage for the official lights switch-on.

BID Operations Manager, Mark Mullen, said: “Children’s favourites Peppa Pig and George will bring an extra buzz to the town centre this Christmas and we can’t wait to meet the duo and share this treat with families across the county. Don’t forget your cameras everyone – this will definitely be a moment you will want to remember forever.

“Make sure you arrive nice and early so that even if there are queues you won’t be disappointed.”

Councillor Anna King, Northampton Borough Council Cabinet member for community engagement and safety, added: “It’s great to be working with Northampton Town Centre BID on our Christmas programme again this year. The meet and greet with Peppa Pig and George is a fantastic, fun addition to the activities taking place ahead of the Christmas Lights Switch-on.

“Don’t forget to catch some of this year’s panto stars performing on the Market Square stage during the afternoon too.”
