Webinars will deliver digital skills boost to businesses

Town centre businesses in Northampton can pick up tips on how to boost their digital marketing skills as part of a series of online webinars.

The sessions have been organised by Northampton Town Centre Business Improvement District (BID) as part of a drive to upskill businesses through a free-to-attend spring programme of events by the Northampton BID Digital Academy.

Local companies will have the chance to enhance their marketing and digital abilities by attending online sessions with hand-picked experts from a host of Northamptonshire companies.

Mark Mullen, BID Operations Manager, said: “Taking place between March and May, the programme will consist of 10 online workshops, with each session exploring a different aspect of digital marketing.

“It gives town centre businesses the chance to learn more about how they can make the most of the opportunities offered to them by the internet. Digital skills is an area we know a lot of companies need help with and we have put together a team of specialists who can really make a difference with some invaluable hints and tips.”

Companies involved in the workshops include award-winning public relations agency Orange Juice Communications, marketing firm onefoursix and Goldings Communications while the sessions will cover topics including ‘how to write a press release’, ‘local SEO’ and ‘repurposing content for social media’.

Businesses will have the opportunity to attend any or all of the hour-long sessions and will be able to ask questions to the speakers at the end of their presentations.
