Join county safety pledge and sign Commissioner’s Women’s Charter

The Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner is inviting businesses across Northamptonshire to sign up to her new Women’s Charter.

It’s Danielle Stone’s call to action for organisations to promote safer environments for women in this county and, therefore, everyone.

By signing the Women’s Charter, it commits you to:

  • Promoting a culture that does not tolerate harmful language, behaviour and attitudes towards women and girls
  • Taking reports and disclosures of harassment, violence, or intimidation seriously and deal with them appropriately
  • Showing support for Northamptonshire’s ambition to be a safe place for all women and girls by doing everything we can to provide an environment that is equal and inclusive

In return, the Commissioner’s office is providing organisations who sign up with a free and exclusive Charter Toolkit.

It’s packed with practical steps to create environments where women feel safe and valued.

It includes survey support to capture changes women want to see, plus training packages and webinars, as well as guidance to help you build policies that prevent harm.

So far, Northamptonshire Police, Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service, Northampton Town Football Club, Northampton Town Football Club Community Trust, London Northwestern Railway, Greatwell Homes, Brackmills BID and Northampton BID have joined the pledge.

Sign up via her website and make a real difference where you work.
