NLive Radio launches its 2025 Christmas Present appeal

NLive Radio, Northampton’s local radio station, is again excited to be running its Christmas present appeal. Now in its fourth year, they are again calling on the generosity of the Northampton public to donate gifts to ensure that those in need this Christmas have a present to open on Christmas Day. Last year, over 1,300 presents were donated by the people of Northampton, and they would love to beat that figure this year.

The station is partnering with five fantastic local charities, Baby Basics Northampton, The Doddridge Centre, The Spring Charity, The Hope Centre and Growing Together Northampton to provide presents to those in need from newborn babies and their families, to the older generation across the Northampton area.

Rebecca Steers, NLive Radio Station Manager, said; “We have been blown away by the support we have received in previous years, and we wanted to do what we can to continue to support those in need this Christmas, we are truly grateful of the support of the public of Northampton, and our donation locations, who help make this possible.”

There are over 40 donation boxes out in the area, the most since they first ran the appeal in 2022, locations across Northampton include; businesses in the town centre with the support of the Northampton Town BID, Sainsburys at Sixfields, the University of Northampton, community centres and spaces like the Doddridge Centre and Duston Community Centre, churches and schools.

Marina Nagornaja, Customer Relationship Consultant at Skipton Building Society on Abington Street in Northampton, said of supporting the appeal. “It is absolutely amazing what that station does within the community, and we would be very honoured to participate in NLive Radio’s 2025 Christmas present appeal”

The station is still looking for other locations to host a donation box, and any business, community space, or anywhere that would like to host a box is encouraged to contact NLive Radio. The station is also this year encouraging community groups, and local businesses to support the appeal directly and organise their own present collection which can either be dropped off to the NLive Radio studios by appointment or arrange for collection by one of the team.

The appeal is running from now until mid-December, so that presents can be distributed to the charity partners for further distribution to those in need. They are appealing for presents that would be suitable for donation to those in need, and all details of the present appeal and donation locations can be found https://nliveradio.com/presentappeal
