Northampton in Bloom is a project that the Northampton Town Council are proud to deliver, in partnership with the Bloom Working Party, including Northampton Town Centre BID, Idverde, Veolia and Park Rangers from West Northamptonshire Council.
From May to September each year, several hundred colourful baskets and planters are placed around the town centre and surrounding neighbourhoods, adding a vibrant palette of colour to Northampton every summer. Community groups and partner-led groups also encourage year-round planting with the additions of sustainable planters and gardens throughout the town centre wards.
Northampton town previously participated in the both the Royal Horticultural Society’s (RHS) East Midlands and Britain in Bloom competitions for 18 years, earning a Silver Gilt in 2018 and a Gold Award in 2019. The global pandemic and closure of the borough council resulted in a break, but the town council took the entry competition forward again in 2025.
In 2025, Northampton in Bloom proudly won the title of Silver Gilt, competing against other towns and cities in the region for a chance of recognition in one of the largest horticultural campaigns in Europe. This year, we are looking to work with partners to grow the project even further.
On behalf of Northampton in Bloom, Northampton Town Council would like to highlight the available sponsorship packages for Bloom in 2026 and beyond.
It is also an exciting chance for businesses to advertise in key locations throughout Northampton town centre and the town council wards, as well as all the Northampton in Bloom advertising and Judging Day materials.
