Join us on the red carpet for our evening Opening Gala to celebrate our 5th birthday – with this year’s theme Still Making A Scene.
Join us to celebrate the Rebels and Revolutionaries, Misfits and Mavericks, Creatives and Changemakers of Northamptonshire and beyond – be part of our scene for the night, a place where people can come together to connect, create and celebrate. Working with filmmakers, artists and our wonderful audiences, we’ve built a vibrant creative scene locally over the past 5 years and we hope to continue to be the home of film, creativity and connection in Northants for more years to come…
So let’s party and watch some amazing films. Dressing up is encouraged – Make A Scene – but any get up is fine – be comfortable and be you.
Your ticket includes a glass of prosecco which can be swapped on the night for a beer or soft drink. If you are under 18yrs you will automatically be given a soft drink. Proof of age may be required so bring your ID!
Doors and red carpet 6.15pm
Films start 7pm
Films and filmmaker Q&A will end circa 8.30pm
The party ends at 9.30pm but the festival has just begun…
Free parking is a few hundred metres from the venue. The path from the car park to the venue is a flat gravel path. There is step free access to all spaces and a disabled toilet. Some floors in the Abbey are uneven (not our main event space though). We have flexible seating (padded dining room chairs) and the space can accommodate multiple wheelchair users (no need to book a specific ticket or let us know in advance). While music will be played at this event it will be possible to be in spaces without music playing.
This event has a 15 certificate so all guests must be 15 years or older. Proof may be required. Films contain sexual references, bad language and injury detail, and themes of death and abuse. We are happy to provide more information on access, trigger warnings etc so please feel free to contact us on info@northamptonfilmfestival.co.uk, 07930 646721 or to pop into our arts space The Creative Place on Northampton Market Square.
