Salvage Training

This in-person course will cover all aspects of emergency planning with practical sessions to get hands-on experience of salvage techniques.

Gain confidence in emergency planning and salvage for collections. This course will cover all aspects of emergency planning, including prevention measures, what makes a good emergency plan and how to protect and rescue collections. Practical sessions will give you the opportunity to get hands-on experience of salvage techniques.

By the end of the session, attendees will:

• Understand why emergency planning is important

• Have gained knowledge to help you respond to an emergency situation for your collection

• Be able to update or write an emergency plan

• Have skills to protect, pack, and carry out basic first aid for collections
