
The winners of a children’s safety competition are set to be revealed at a community event offering fun and advice for the whole family, with star appearances from PAW Patrol’s Marshall.
On Saturday, June 21, Northampton’s Market Square will be filled with members of the emergency services, life-saving charities, health experts, sports teams and more, all offering information and advice to help people of all ages have a safe and fun summer.

Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service
Meet firefighters and get a close-up look at a fire engine, alongside the Emergency Service Cadets who will showcase fire safety, water safety and prevention work along with water throw lines demonstrations. The youth fire engine and Community Outreach Vehicle will be on site.
Arson Task Force
Learn about the risks and dangers of deliberate fires and get info on Crimestoppers and Fearless to help prevent arson in the community.
Dog First Aid
Browse products for purchase and get information about upcoming local courses. The team will also demonstrate dog CPR and discuss heatstroke signs and other summer safety tips.
South Northants First Responders
The South Northants First Responders will be delivering CPR and AED demonstrations throughout the day, teaching different techniques and allowing members of the public to have a go and ask questions.
RNLI
The life-saving charity will be delivering water safety advice and education on how to stay safe around water throughout the summer, explaining more about the role of the RNLI and how to make contact.
Re-Solv: Vaping awareness
Solvent abuse charity Re-Solve will be on hand to provide vital information about vaping, its effects on under 18s, and how those over 18 can reduce or quit. Learn how to make healthier choices.
Northants Crimestoppers
Volunteers from this independent crime-fighting charity will be sharing information about anonymous crime reporting, the types of barriers people may face to speaking up about crime, and the active bystander approach.
The King’s Trust
Offering support for 16-25’s, find out more about The King’s Trust’s Northampton North Team and how they help young people who are not in employment, education, or training, through skill-building and personal development.
Off the Streets
Learn about knife crime, bleed control and how to access bleeds kits. Talks will provide valuable insights on staying safe.
Northampton Saints
The Northampton Saints Foundation will be raising awareness of their work and what is on offer over the summer and into the 2025/26 academic year. Also sharing how the foundation impacts and support the community.
Sport4Fitness
Sport4Fitness CIC work with children young and adults with special educational needs and disabilities, and also work with young people at risk of anti-social behaviour in the King’s Heath area of Northampton. They will be offering frisbee golf and Connect 4 games at the summer safety event.
