Demystifying Cyber Security: Safeguarding Small Businesses In The Digital Age

Cyber security is not only an IT problem. It impacts every high street business, small independent, and individual, as well as banks and big businesses. It’s increasingly important you understand the risks you face, and how best to prepare and respond. Northampton Town Centre BID is staging a new event aimed at business owners in the town centre – giving YOU the chance to hear first-hand what cyber security means for you and your business. This is an opportunity to hear from experts as they ‘demystify’ the subject of cyber security, and spell out in simple terms, what you can do to protect your data and keep you and your business safe. We will be running the event in the Gatherings unit of Grosvenor Shopping Centre, on Wednesday, April 30. · The morning session will run from 10am to noon · The afternoon session will run from 2pm to 4pm. Both sessions contain the same content, so you only need to attend one session. Contemporary Stitched Textiles The Bassett-Lowke Rooms Sat 8 Mar 2025 - Sun 25 May 2025 An exhibition of Contemporary Stitched Art Textiles We are delighted to be hosting this new exhibition of textiles and mixed media work which has been created by the Visualise textile group. Visualise was formed several years ago, by like-minded artists who enjoy creating diverse work with stitch as the common thread. The exhibition will also feature work by internationally known textile artist and Embroiderers Guild member Nigel Cheney who is the current mentor to Visualise. On display is a diverse array of abstract, realistic and figurative art using a wide variety of media: paper, fabric (new, distressed and recycled) and found objects which are hand and machine stitched, or felted to create art inspired by both the natural world and the built environment. The exhibition includes textile art inspired by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and 78 Derngate itself, with framed and small items for sale. Combining a look round the iconic Charles Rennie Mackintosh House before visiting the exhibition, gardens and shop, followed by partaking of some drink or food in The Dining Room is the perfect way to spend a glorious few hours in Northampton...
