GenFest 2025: Red Rosa

Royal and Derngate Theatre 19-21 Guildhall Road, Northampton, Northamptonshire, NN1 1DP

Red Rosa, inspired by Kate Evans’ graphic novel, illuminates the remarkable life of revolutionary thinker Rosa Luxemburg. Rosa rose from oppression to become a fearless leader, founding the German Communist Party and challenging capitalism, war, and patriarchy. She lived radically – politically and personally as a Jewish, disabled woman. This project explores her intellectual fire, her humanity, and her relevance today, through historical archives, cats and a little live music. Red Rosa is a call to courage, resistance, and imagination. no more superheroes. is a bold, boundary-pushing company creating original theatre, digital work and participatory projects that speak to a new generation. We make work that’s urgent, playful and socially resonant. From national stages to grassroots spaces, we’ve partnered with organisations like the National Youth Theatre and the National Trust to nurture creatives and challenge how stories are made – and who gets to tell them. www.nomoresuperheroes.com Part of Genfest 2025 Discover the full line-up of performances, workshops and artist one-to-one’s taking place across GenFest, Sun 16 – Sat 22 November.
