Architecture students from Northampton College have been reimagining Northampton, taking an existing heritage asset and suggesting how it could be transformed with heart and, of course, imagination! The students’ work will be on display in the café at Northampton Museum & Art Gallery for the duration of the festival, linking to exhibitions featuring the county town elsewhere in the museum. Friday 12th Sept – Sat 20th Sept: 10am-5pm. Sunday 21st Sept: 12pm-5pm.

Journey through 150 million years of Northamptonshire's past. From prehistoric treasures to modern marvels, 100 remarkable objects reveal the people, events, and industries that shaped the county, each telling a unique story of its cultural, social, and economic heritage. Northampton Museum & Art Gallery Saturday 20 September - Sunday 22 February 2026 This exhibition has been shaped by an extraordinary network of 51 guest curators from across the county, each bringing their own expertise and local knowledge to the project. These dedicated individuals, from historians and collectors to community groups, have worked alongside the museum team to select objects and craft narratives. Their collaborative efforts ensure this exhibition truly reflects the breadth of Northamptonshire's heritage, guided by those who know their communities best.

Tipping Point – Luke Jerram

An artwork by Luke Jerram, with surround sound audio by Dan Jones Hazel and Thoroughsale Woods Corby Northamptonshire NN17 1QG 19 – 21 September 2025 Fermynwoods Contemporary Art is thrilled to announce the upcoming presentation of Tipping Point, a powerful new work by internationally renowned artist Luke Jerram. Showcased in the largest ancient urban woodland in the UK, at the heart of Corby town centre, Northamptonshire this September, Tipping Point uses immersive light, smoke, and sound to simulate the drama of a forest fire. The installation features a bespoke soundtrack created by BAFTA and Ivor Novello award-winning composer Dan Jones, which includes the sounds of burning trees, whirring chainsaws, and fleeing animals, alongside ambient, melancholic music and moving global testimonies from individuals who have experienced wildfires. The work will be unveiled from 8pm to 9:30pm on the evenings of 19, 20 and 21 September. As part of the project, visitors will have the opportunity to find information about local environmental action, including North Northants Council’s work on increasing tree canopy cover and habitat preservation.
