The Northampton Marketing Meetup is an informal friendly place to meet, learn and share knowledge with one another. Come in 'listen' mode :) The Northampton Marketing Meetup is an informal, friendly place for the marketers of Northants to meet, learn, and share knowledge with one another. Come in 'listen' not 'sell' mode :) We're heading back to the lovely Vulcan Works for this one, and we just want to get together, say hello, have a chat, and have a nice time. Think of this as a community event, where the focus is very much on you meeting other people in a chilled out friendly space. We’ll chat over food and drink, listen to an inspirational speaker or two, chat some more, and go home buzzing with new contacts and new ideas. Actors Company: Jekyll and Hyde

Unravel the world of 19th century Victorian England through the eyes of Mrs Jekyll and watch how the lines between past and present collide in this powerful adaptation by Evan Placey on Louis Stevenson’s classic tale, directed by Tonia Daley Campbell and Gemma Boaden. With the oppressive nature of patriarchal England looming over the recently widowed Mrs Jekyll she finds herself facing continued confrontation and challenge. Torn between her polite societal desire to act against injustice and her growing rage to transform into something, or maybe someone, who might just be able to fight back. This story cleverly brings the past into the future and the present into the past, with this wonderful unique adaptation that leaves you questioning exactly how much has changed for women in the last 200 years. Matthew Bourne’s The Midnight Bell

Matthew Bourne’s award-winning The Midnight Bell comes to Northampton for the first time in 2025. In 1930s London ordinary people emerge from cheap boarding houses nightly to pour out their passions, hopes and dreams in the pubs and fog-bound streets of Soho and Fitzrovia. Step inside The Midnight Bell, a tavern where one particular lonely-hearts club gather to play out their lovelorn affairs of the heart; bitter comedies of longing, frustration, betrayal and redemption. Inspired by the great English novelist Patrick Hamilton (Twenty Thousand Streets Under The Sky, Hangover Square) who created some of the most authentic fiction of his era; stories borne out of years of social interactions with the working man and woman at his favourite location – the London Pub. Hailed by The Observer as ‘the undisputed king of dance theatre’, master storyteller Bourne has produced some of the most successful dance theatre productions of the last 30 years including Swan Lake, Cinderella, The Red Shoes and Edward Scissorhands. His widow, Boudica, comes to claim her rightful throne and territories in defiance of the occupying force, Rome. For daring to try and take what is hers the native queen is flogged, her daughters raped, and they are banished from their homeland. But now Queen Boudica has returned. And this time, she has an army. She will take back her land, her freedom, and more, much more: she will have revenge. She will have blood. Join us for Boudica (written by Tristan Bernays, directed by Anna Simpson with fight choreography by Kiel O’Shea) and watch the Royal & Derngate Young Company bring this play based on ancient history hurtling into the 21st century, exploring urgent and provocative questions about occupation and oppression, the legacy of colonial violence, and how people try to hold on to their humanity amidst war’s brutality. We Will Rock You: Young@Part

This is VCL’s first Summer Youth Project in Northamptonshire the cast comprises of young performers from around the county who are “breaking free” to showcase their talents in the dynamic musical “We Will Rock You: Young@Part.” Is a special adaptation of the iconic Queen musical is tailored for a younger cast and offers a vibrant platform for our aspiring actors, singers, and dancers to bring the legendary music and story to life. Set in a dystopian future where musical instruments and rock music are banned, “We Will Rock You” follows a group of rebels led by Galileo and Scaramouche as they fight to restore freedom and individuality through the power of rock ‘n’ roll.
