Mini Museum Explorers – Transport

Friday 10 January - Friday 4 April (exluding 21 February) 10.15 - 11.45am £5 per child per session Join Us for Fun, Creative Pre-School Sessions! Bring your little ones (ages 2.5–5) to our popular, hands-on sessions designed especially for underfives. Explore the museum through exciting stories, music, and arts & crafts activities—all while making new friends and creating lasting memories in a welcoming and family-friendly environment. These sessions are for children aged 2.5–5 and their parents/carers and are held every Friday morning during term time. Each week, we offer a new theme filled with fun activities to engage your child’s creativity and imagination. A child’s snack and an adult tea/coffee are included, making it a relaxed, enjoyable experience for everyone. The David Ross Education Trust presents a 60-minute version of Mozart’s The Magic Flute in partnership with the Royal Ballet & Opera. 300 students from Northamptonshire primary schools join with professional singers Samantha Hay, Emyr Lloyd Jones, Blaise Malaba and instrumentalists from the Royal Academy of Music to retell this magical interpretation of Mozart’s ever popular opera. Relive the story of the prince Tamino discovering the princess Pamina, of the birdcatcher Papageno desperately searching for his ‘Papagena’, of the conflict between the powerful Sarastro and Queen of the Night, and of the mysterious power of a magic flute and magic bells.
