????? THE FIVE STAR COMEDY SENSATION DIRECT FROM THE WEST END Direct from its triumph in the West End where it won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Comedy, Pride and Prejudice* (*sort of) is a unique and audacious retelling of Jane Austen’s most iconic love story. Men, money and microphones will be fought over in this irreverent but affectionate adaptation where the stakes couldn’t be higher when it comes to romance. This multi-award-winning production features a string of pop classics including Young Hearts Run Free, Will You Love Me Tomorrow and You’re So Vain. IT’S THE 1800S. IT’S PARTY TIME. LET THE RUTHLESS MATCHMAKING BEGIN.
Abigail’s mum is dead. But it turns out she can’t afford her to be. Did you know how expensive it is to die? It’s £4000 for the funeral. Extra for flowers. And even more if you want sausage rolls. Otherwise, she will get a council funeral and an unmarked grave. Then, when a theatre suddenly pulls out of Abigail’s new project, she is asked to write about something else. Something more raw, from her ‘unique working class lens.’ Something that will make the audience feel really, really bad about themselves. Audiences like that, apparently. Yep. To afford the funeral, she has to write about her mum. With power and playfulness, Kelly Jones’s new play tackles the inequalities around death, and the cost of turning your loved ones into art. This production contains strong language and deals with the topic of bereavement

Seven months ago, Saba walked out of her GCSE mocks and didn’t come back. Her friends don’t understand why. Now, on prom night, Saba’s finally made contact, challenging her friends to track her down via a series of cryptic clues. But when the friends are finally reunited, Saba is different. The way she sees the world has changed. And what she’s asking of her friends… is it more than they can give? This new play written by Danusia Samal, directed by Anna Simpson, and performed by the Royal & Derngate Young Company, asks probing questions about the responsibility of the individual in a troubled globalised world, as well as growing up, growing apart, and how far should you go for what you think is right. The Young Company will also be performing Saba’s Swim as part of the National Theatre Connections Festival.
