DS4 bring their high-end rock & roll show to The King Billy Music Bar — one of Northampton’s favourite grassroots venues. Expect blues guitar & harmonica swagger with a London-delta twist. Come and feel the noise... Bandleader, songwriter, music journalist and raconteur-behind-the-velvet-rope, David Sinclair unveils the latest DS4 album, Sweet Georgina. As a writer and columnist for The Times of London, Rolling Stone and Billboard, David has seen the rock & roll years unfold at close quarters and lived to tell the tale. Now on his fifth album as a recording artist in his own right, he brings a storyteller’s craft to bear on the witty, bluesy, alt-rock narratives of Sweet Georgina. The title track is an ode to the band’s muse and the patron saint of songwriters everywhere: “She’s a woman of grace, a creature of youth/A master of rhyme, she told me the truth.” Joining David in the DS4 is master guitarist and co-songwriter, Geoff Peel, together with rhythm section of Derek White (bass) and Jack Sinclair (drums) and special guests on harmonica and vocals. Francis Rossi is coming to Northampton as part of his brand new show. This show will feature songs that he has never played before in this format and offer first hand backstage tales about appearing over 100 times on Top Of The Pops, why they went on first at Live Aid, life with Rick Parfitt, the hits, fellow stars, and misadventures across the world, all cut through with Francis’ wit and humour. A strictly limited amount of VIP tickets will be available at each show, and will include: a pre-show Meet & Greet with Francis, personal photo opportunity (please bring your own phone/camera for this), signing opportunity for one of your own items, one of the best seats in the house for the show, and an exclusive tour merchandise item. Eddie Izzard performs Shakespeare’s Hamlet Direct from her critically acclaimed, triple-extended New York, Chicago and London solo performances of Shakespeare‘s Hamlet. Nominated for New York’s: Drama League’s Distinguished Performance Award and Outer Critic’s Circle Outstanding Solo Performance Award. Akin to the original performances of Hamlet, Eddie will perform on the blank canvas of a bare stage, letting Shakespeare’s words and pure storytelling take the spotlight. Nicknamed the Blaze Star, it is a binary star and a recurrent nova 3,000 light-years away. It was first discovered in outburst in 1866.
