“In our 70th anniversary year the Northampton Gilbert & Sullivan Group are thrilled to be returning to the stage with a brand-new production of The Mikado.
This perennial family favourite was the group’s first production, and it seems only fitting for us to be starting our next 70 years with the same show.
The Mikado is, without doubt, the most popular of Gilbert & Sullivan’s operettas, and it is no wonder as the story skilfully combines colourful characters, memorable music, with an underlying tale of power, corruption, love, betrothal and sycophancy……
