Lovingly adapted for the stage, his distinctive illustrations leap from the page in this colourful show packed full of puppetry, songs and, of course, all the animals from the zoo. With lots of laughs and audience interaction, Dear Zoo is the perfect introduction to theatre for young children. Will Young returns with forthcoming, ninth studio album, “Light It Up”, due for release on 9 August. To celebrate the new album, Will is embarking on his most intimate tour yet – taking shape as an up close and personal evening of acoustic performances, stories and conversation. New single, Falling Deep, channels the nostalgia of 80s pop with a modern, soulful touch that sits somewhere between The Police and The Weeknd. ‘Falling Deep’ speaks to the sweet surrender of giving into a new experience, however dangerous or out of control it makes you feel. It is the perfect introduction to Will’s first album of originals in five years. Featuring special guest: Rachel Sage.
When Sarah Millican was a bairn, she wouldn’t say boo to a goose. Quiet at school, not many friends, no boobs til she was sixteen. Now? NOW she is loud, with good friends, a cracking rack and goose booing all over the shop. In Late Bloomer, Sarah’s brand-new stand-up show, she explores how one became the other. Plus, lots of stuff about dinners and lady gardens. Come along, laugh at her, with her, beside her.

Presented by Little Wander in association with Sophie Chapman Talent As featured on BBC Two’s Mock The Week and BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz, Robin Morgan is back on the road with a hilarious brand new show, The Spark – his biggest tour to date. His previous shows have dealt with a proposal, marriage, kids and a vasectomy. So what’s next on the list? Divorce? No, not divorce. It’s about how to keep the spark alive. Not just in a marriage, but also in yourself? Robin’s been a busy bee since the last tour: he created and hosts the topical comedy panel show What Just Happened? for BBC Radio Wales; he’s supported Adam Kay and Sophie McCartney on their nationwide tours, and has written for shows such as Have I Got News For You, The Weakest Link and Bake Off: The Professionals. He’s also become somewhat of a favourite on The News Quiz (BBC Radio 4), in an episode so popular that even the government complained about it. Robin’s shows have always been about others. Now it’s time to focus on himself. Photo credit: Michelle Huggleston
Anton Lesser (Game of Thrones, Endeavour, Wolf Hall and Royal & Derngate’s The Two Popes) and Charlie Hamblett (Killing Eve, Ghosts) star in Laurie Lee’s extraordinary story told in a captivating weave of music and his own words. Red Sky at Sunrise follows Lee through his much-loved Cider with Rosie trilogy, when he famously walked out of the Slad valley one midsummer morning, and ended up fighting with the International Brigades against Franco’s forces in the Spanish Civil War. A ‘breathtaking’ musical programme by Orchestra of the Swan journeys from the lush Gloucestershire countryside made famous in Cider With Rosie, to the arid landscapes of Spain. Featuring music from Vaughan Williams, Britten, Turina and De Falla, with Northampton-born guitarist Mark Ashford. Sold out at RSC and Oxford, this ‘triumph’ comes to Northampton for one night only.
Having reassessed her life through the prism of an ADHD diagnosis in last year’s funny and moving memoir, one of Britain’s most beloved and most scatterbrained stand-ups lets you back into her mind (warning: it’s cluttered in there). Among other things, this show will be a love-letter to letter-writing, a trip back through her early years as a comic and woman-about-town, and a whirlwind tour of a chaotic, hilarious brain.
