The classic tale of the boy who refused to grow up is a traditional favourite and for Christmas 2024 we are proud to present a swashbuckling spectacular for all the family.

The star cast is to be announced, and there will be some fantastic opportunities for local young performers as we start the search for lost boys and pirates!

Strictly champion Joanne Clifton will be dazzling as the Fairy Godmother, alongside Cbeebies‘ favourite Andy Day, as Dandini, the Prince’s sidekick. Gordon Cooper and Matt Daines play the hilariously wicked Step Sisters, and are joined by the award-winning comedian Dave Bibby as Buttons, Marcellus Whyte as Prince Charming (Mamma Mia! Northampton Town & County Art Society presents its 107th annual show with a selection of members and non-members' artwork. The annual show features the works of professional and celebrated local artists, this year’s exhibition will again feature works by non-society members which bring an exciting edge to an already popular show, and adds to the rich variety of styles and media from the cream of Northamptonshire artists. Free entry.

No Christmas is complete without a visit to Father Christmas, and the BID is delighted to be bringing Santa’s Grotto back to Grosvenor Shopping Northampton this festive season. Important Information Pre-booking is required. All money from this event will be donated to charity. There will be a £1 charge to secure the booking per family, using PayPal.  6 tickets per half hour will be sold to allow a provision of 5 minutes with Santa. The last family to arrive for their half hour session will have to wait 25 minutes. Families will be able to take their own photos with Santa. Each child will receive a gift.

Get ready for fun-filled activities from 11am to 3pm, as the Market Square is taken over by elves performing stilt-walking, juggling, and face painting. A mischievous Grinch-inspired character will also make a guest appearance, offering fantastic photo opportunities as they stroll around spreading holiday cheer. In addition, WNC is supporting Small Business Saturday and encourages everyone to support small retailers and traders across West Northants and celebrate the contribution small businesses make to our communities.
