Sessions to introduce rhymes and songs to your child to encourage interaction and develop communication skills. Please note that the Bounce and Rhyme sessions will be run on a first-come, first-serve basis on the day and it will not be possible to book in advance. Parents and Carers can collect a ticket from the front desk on the Friday morning at 10am. This event is for under 1s and non-walkers only.

The Summer Reading Challenge is the UK's biggest free reading promotion for children; it's run by charity The Reading Agency and delivered in partnership with Public Libraries. We've teamed up with @createcharity this summer to bring you #MarvellousMakers! Join the Summer Reading Challenge craft event ‘Mosaics/Pixel Art’ at Northamptonshire Central Library on Saturday 3rd August at 2:30pm. Explore your creativity while you learn new skills, make new friends, and have a great time! This is a free event suitable for ages 4 – 12 years old. Pre-booking is essential; to reserve your spot please email us at Northampton.LibraryPlus@westnorthants.gov.uk, call us on 0300 126 7000 or speak to a member of staff when you are visiting Northamptonshire Central Library. This summer, join in the Challenge to discover your own creativity through reading. The Challenge and bookings for all events will start on 6th July 2024.

Carnegie Talk – Ghosts of Northamptonshire – Adrian Perkins

Mr. Perkins is an author, who has spent the last thirty years recording & researching for his 'Ghost Detective' book series. Author of the Ghost Detective series of book’s, Adrian Perkins has spent the last thirty years recording eyewitness stories, and investigating new previously unpublished reports of ghost sightings and spirit activity. He is now writing number nine in the Ghost Detective series of books. During investigations he works with parapsychologists, historians, and archaeologists, to write stories that contain as much detail as possible.
