Bob Dawson worked as a sculptor and art tutor for over 50 years. Based in a studio in Wollaston, Northamptonshire this celebrated and prolific sculptor’s practice involved both the naturalistic and beautifully abstract. Dawson’s work creates a serenity and quietness in which to contemplate the shifting and changing nature of life.
The training shoe has been around for over 100 years but in the last 50 years it has developed into a multibillion dollar global industry. In this exhibition we take a closer look at the design, technology, cultural influences and environmental impact of the trainer and showcase our own trainer collection, the largest owned by a public institution.
Tracey will give us a showcase of images from her tour around the Falklland islands with some stories and experiences along the way. Tracey will be presenting by Zoom, but there will also be an opportunity to participate in the meeting in the Humfrey Rooms as normal.

It's all Star Wars Themed and you'll get the chance to build some of your favourite characters and watch them come to life! Join us this summer for fun, games and challenges at both museums. Pick up your summer at the museum' pack and complete as many challenges as you can before the end of the holidays. Complete them all and you will receive a certificate and a prize.
