As part of the Great Big Green Week we will look at changes in our weather over the last 150 years as recorded by the members of the Northamptonshire Natural History Society in their gardens both great and small. This meeting will be held in the Humfrey Rooms.

Sue Barker will introduce us to the oceanographers and geologists including the under-recognised Marie Tharp who mapped the deep oceans providing the base map onto which plates and oceanic ridges were plotted
by Jane Clark PhD Physics 1981. Measure solar system objects and their movements for yourself. Asteroids and planets follow predictable paths where orbital parameters can be used to predict future possible collisions, a bit of maths might be needed, guests welcome.

There will be short videos, exhibitions and opportunities to use microscopes to explore the hidden world around us. This is a free event open to all members, friends and visitors to the Humfrey Rooms.
