The Venue Northampton Guildhall is a municipal building in St Giles' Square in Northampton, England. It is a Grade II* listed building. Northamptons Guildhall speaks volumes of the thriving economy and cultural aspirations of the town in the mid 19th century. The building is triumphal and richly decorated, in the Gothic idiom.
Pop into this historic gem in the town centre and enjoy a guided tour of parts of the building not always open to the public. There will be history re-enactments, bringing to life the heritage of Northamptons rich and varied history. The Moulton Morris Men will be performing and there will also be a chance to meet Northamptons Mayor, Councillor Stephen Hibbert.
This latest Roadshow from East Midlands Community Led Housing will provide information to community organisations, Parish Councils, housing bodies, land-owners and other professional interests on how local people are having a central role in creating new homes and neighbourhoods to meet the needs of their communities. Examples of such projects and successes will be highlighted and used to explore ideas for how further initiatives could be established around Northampton and the county area.
