10am-4pm: stalls selling cultural food and drinks, community stalls. 1pm - 4pm: Cultural experiences - traditional cultural game Karom, arts and crafts, henna painting, Sareer dressing, exhibitions by local community groups plus more. performances from members of Northampton community groups 4pm: Music with Mark Dean of Inspiration FM 4PM - 4:30PM: Welcome dignitaries and candle lighting by Dignitaries 4:30pm - 5:30pm: performances by young people 5:30pm: performances by young people 6pm - 7pm: preparation for Diwali procession 7pm - 8pm: Raj Tilak - Welcoming back of lord Ram Short speeches by dignitaries. The classic red Daimlers which once serviced Northampton’s bus routes will again be laid on to transport heritage visitors back in time – and of course to attractions in the West Northamptonshire area. Northampton Transport Heritage are delighted to once again be working with West Northants Council for the ever-popular Heritage Open Days event which is a firm favourite with townsfolk and visitors alike. NTH will be providing classic local buses that will be used on Heritage bus routes from George Row in the town centre that will connect participating heritage events, buildings and organisations to enable people to choose which heritage place they wish to visit and at the same time arriving in style aboard a classic heritage bus! Final details are still being compiled and will be available near the time but we look forward to seeing you all again soon for a trip back in time!

Armed Forces Day will be marked in Northampton with a military parade and entertainment taking place in the town centre on Saturday, 24th June.

Harley Davidson motorbikes set to roar through Northampton town centre for 19th annual fundraising event   The motorbikes will arrive in Abington Street at 10.45am this Saturday (April 22).   A procession of Harley Davidson motorbikes is set to roar through Northampton town centre for the 19th annual fundraising event this Saturday (April 22).   It is hoped that as many as two hundred bikers will arrive in Abington Street at 10.45am and will remain there until 1pm, in aid of Cynthia Spencer Hospice.
