Rhone valley, here we come! Join us as we take a deep dive into wines from Rhone Valley, a region renowned for its vast variety and quality of produce. We will be exploring wines from both the Northern and Southern region, and comparing the differences between the two. Whether it’s red, white or rose, we’ve got all bases covered
I’d like a wine - but make it fortified. Join us on the 6th of November as we taste Port, Sherry & lots more. Learn about the history of fortified wines, where they come from, how they're made and how they taste. Why should Santa have all the fun?
I’d like a beer - but make it barrel-aged. For this masterclass, we'll be exploring a range of beers from a variety of countries - and learning all about the barrel-ageing process. How do the barrels’ previous contents affect the beer today? Is 'the older the better' really the case? Grab your ticket and come and find out.
Are we fans or Syrah? You bet Shiraz we are! For this masterclass, we’ll be exploring one of our favourite grapes: Syrah (or Shiraz if you’re Australian...) Whilst they’re both the exact same grape, the terroirs and climates in which they’re grown have an enormous impact on the wine they make. So how can something be the same... but different? Join us and find out.
Philosophy Club hosted by @moodrin.g. 7-9. No homework necessary.
Join us in watching a film by Sewing Stories starring XEN, based on sustainable art & fashion with a focus on the local community Come join us for a special event at V and B Northampton! We're hosting a film screening for Sewing Stories and a pop-up shop where you can discover upcycled art & fashion pieces created by XEN whilst immersing yourself in a short film based on sustainability within the fashion industry and XENs back story along the way. This community based project has been filmed over the past year and we are exciting to be showcasing it on October the 12th. The film follows the process of creating a unique art/fashion piece using the scraps from local businesses. Starring XEN as the local artisan and how his passion has taken him where he is. The entire film was created by a group of talented students from the university of Northampton as their final year project. The local family owned businesses involved in the film and supplying the material used are Passenger Outfitters, Time Warp and Lyon Leathers. Alongside the film there will be a pop up shop showcasing and selling XEN pieces created over the past few years...
Yes we would like a beer - German beer to be precise. Join us as we discover a whole range of German brews, learn about the history of German beer and their strict brewing rules and methods, and taste a whole lot of the good stuff. Prost!
Many of you will know Rin, one of our amazing team members who has been here with us since our first year here on St Giles Square. It just so happens that Rin is also a very talented yoga instructor, and will be swapping beer mats for yoga mats for this event. Meet Rin and your fellow yoga-enthusiasts at V and B Northampton at 6pm for a tea and a chat, before beginning an hour-long yoga session in our beautiful upstairs space at 6.30. This will be followed by an immersive wine tasting, focusing on the experience of tasting, rather than the wine itself. Please wear comfortable, yoga-friendly clothes, and if you do have a yoga mat - please bring it along, or you can borrow one of Rin's for a £3 fee. We're really looking forward to seeing you for an immersive evening spent with like-minded people. All levels are welcome!
7-9. All levels welcome.
