About this Event
During Autism Awareness month we want to provide a 60 minute training session to as many businesses as possible– Hosted in association with Northampton Bid (Virtual Session)
Raising Awareness of autism and employment across Northampton.
Why are we doing it?
Just 16% of autistic adults are in full time employment. TRACK is supporting businesses across Northamptonshire (and wider SEMLEP Region) to embrace the talents of a diverse range of individuals. So far we have supported 36 people into paid employment, and over 100 more into access work experience placements.
April is Autism Awareness Month and we want our local area to lead the way in employing autistic people. To support this we will be providing a 60-minute training session for organisations in the Northampton BID Area.
How and What?
The 60-minute training session will outline what autism is, how autistic employees can bring a huge amount of talent to your business and how to support autistic employees.
You will be able to take this knowledge back into your organisation and share the information with colleagues, so we can truly be a local area which is talking about – and encouraging – autism in the workplace.
We will also cover strategies to ensure you business is aware and accepting of autism. Small environmental changes can make a life changing difference.
