Retail Crime Awareness Month – March 2024

Following the success of the National Business Crime Centre’s week of action in October, the NBCC has announced a month of action in March where every police force in the country will be encouraged to hold at least one Safer Business Action Day (SaBA Day) in their area.

Safer Business Action (SaBA) Days is a joint approach by police, business, private security, Business Crime Reduction Partnerships (BCRPs) and Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) working in partnership to focus resources into a designated location to create a significant impact to reduce crime.

A Police Day of Action will take place on Wednesday 20th March.

In support of businesses for Retail Crime Awareness Month, the following has been organised;

CCTV CONTROL ROOM VISITS

West Northants Council is allowing access to the CCTV Control Room for town centre businesses to see the work of the team.

Sessions will be arranged on the hour, on the availability of the below times and dates.

• Wednesday 6th March 9 am to 4 pm
• Thursday 7th March – 11 am to 4 pm
• Monday 11th March  9 am to 3 pm
• Thursday 14th March 9 am to 3 pm
• Friday 15th March 9 am to 3 pm
• Thursday 21st March 9 am to 3 pm

If you would like to attend a CCTV Control Room visit, please advise us of the following information,

  • the time and date preferred for your visit.

Please note there is a maximum of 4 per visit.
