THE BURGESS SHALES THEIR FOSSILS AND THE CAMBRIAN EXPLOSION by Ian Clarke High in the Rocky Mountains of Canada are found the Burgess Shales one of the world’s most important and enigmatic fossil deposits. Ian will tell us about his exciting journey to the Rocky Mountains in search of the Burgess Shales and then will explain their significance in our developing understanding of the Cambrian explosion.
