Comedy and drama your thing? We promise you laughs and plenty of drama with this selection. You'll be able to put your questions to some of the filmmakers after the screening. Ben Norris' debut short, comedy 'Toad in the Hole' premiered at London Film Festival 2025 before heading off on the festival circuit. We also have NFF alumni Stephen Gallacher back with his latest short 'Blackpool'. Shane Meadows says it's "A cracking short that punches harder than the usual drama.... Beautifully shot and acted short that finds massive heart and humour in the guts of Blackpool." These shorts are followed by feature '49 Miles More'. While driving to an annual reunion with their university friends, Max, an unsuccessful insurance salesman, and his fun loving buddy, Doug break down. With 50 miles to go, their only option is to brave the wilderness on foot.

As part of NFF 2026 we held a free-to-enter art competition and - commissioned by Made With Many, a Creative people and Places programme funded by Arts Council England - we also ran free creative sessions in Corby. Here you can see some of the work that was created and, if you visit between 6.30pm and 8.30pm, we'll do a bit of networking for creatives, artists and anyone who is interested in meeting others!
