BLUE BISHOPS High-voltage blues/rock ’n’ roll from the South East. This powerhouse four-piece delivers gritty original tracks and bold reimaginings of classics, all with a heavy dose of slide guitar and a rock-edged blues vibe. Produced by legendary hitmaker John Leckie (Radiohead, Muse, Stone Roses), their last album earned a live session on BBC Radio 2’s Paul Jones Show and recognition on Jo Whiley’s In Concert. Frontman Geoff Grange (vocals/guitar/harmonica) has played with the likes of Bill Wyman, Ronnie Wood, Chris Rea, and Phil Collins, while slide guitarist Simon Burrett brings pedigree from working with Chicken Shack and Mike Vernon. They’ve shared stages with Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, Charlie Musselwhite, and opened for legends like Taj Mahal and Gary Moore. Expect raw energy, soulful grooves, and blues that hit hard. Northampton Music Festival is a free annual event that takes place in the town centre and is designed to celebrate Northampton’s rich music culture. Now in its 18th year, our objective is to raise the profile of Northampton through music; to provide a showcase for the broad range of musicians and artists that are based in the town and to provide a community-focused gathering which invites all to join in a festive celebration of our music scene. The festival is organised by Northampton Music 365 – a not for profit, community group, in partnership with a range of local organisations.
