Starting as a work-in-progress show, it became the word-of-mouth hit of the festival, culminating in Shah winning the 2023 Sky Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show. Since then, Ends enjoyed 5 sold-out weeks at London’s Soho Theatre, and has been performed at both the prestigious Royal Court Theatre and the Netflix Is A Joke Festival in Los Angeles. It turned out that he had testicular cancer and one month later he was lying in hospital waiting to have his murderous gonad removed. Would he survive? (No spoilers!).
