Join the rising stars of Birmingham Royal Ballet on BRB2’s inaugural tour. Some of the very best young ballet graduates from around the world get their moment in the spotlight in this programme which includes sparkling classical highlights from Frederick Ashton’s Rhapsody, created in 1981 for Mikhail Baryshnikov and Lesley Collier, Carlos Acosta’s own temperature-raising Carmen, Bournonville’s delightful La Sylphide, Petipa’s explosive Diana and Actaeon pas de deux, and Carlos’s own new interpretation of Fokine’s The Dying Swan, featuring two dancers. BRB2 is a brand-new company for dancers fresh from ballet schools around the world as they transition into permanent jobs with Birmingham Royal Ballet (BRB) and other companies around the world. Bring your under 5's to clap, sing and wave our way through our favourite nursery rhymes and songs. Singing nursery rhymes and doing the actions are great for interaction, communication skills and motor skills - and most of all, it's fun! Please note that the Rhymetime sessions will be run on a first-come, first-serve basis on the day and it will not be possible to book in advance. Parents and Carers can collect a ticket from the front desk on the Friday morning at 10am.
