Lloyd Griffith – One Tonne of Fun

Since school, Lloyd has always been a show off, doing anything he can to make people laugh, and 20 odd years later, nothing’s changed. There’ll be his unique bag of stand up, dubious impressions, and obviously a sprinkling of his (incredible) singing. Lloyd Griffith is: One Tonne of Fun. As seen on Ted Lasso, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Soccer AM, Comedy Central at The Comedy Store, Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club, Can You Beat The Bookies, Roast Battle, Question of Sport, Not Going Out, House of Games and loads of other stuff including  Jack Whitehall’s Arena tour support.

David O’Doherty – whoa is me

Royal and Derngate Theatre 19-21 Guildhall Road, Northampton, Northamptonshire, NN1 1DP

Here he comes again, trotting on to the stage with all of the misplaced confidence of a waiter with no pad. There’ll be lots of talking, some apologising and some songs on a glued together plastic keyboard from 1986. As seen on Along For The Ride With David O’Doherty, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Live At the Apollo.

NC Jazz Present The Alan Barnes Octet

Royal and Derngate Theatre 19-21 Guildhall Road, Northampton, Northamptonshire, NN1 1DP

Like the Dickens classic itself, Alan Barnes‘ “Copperfield” has something for everyone. A great night out that is also a treat for the jazz connoisseur; it will delight anyone who loves music or literature – or just being entertained! This new suite of pieces, touring for the first time this year, takes the audience through the characters and scenes of ‘David Copperfield”. Readings from the original Dickens tell the story, and after each scene eight virtuoso musicians bring the characters and scenes to life, switching audiences from hilarity to pathos with a skill that would have done credit to Dickens himself!
