Northampton Music Festival is a free annual event that takes place in the town centre and is designed to celebrate Northampton’s rich music culture. Now in its 18th year, our objective is to raise the profile of Northampton through music; to provide a showcase for the broad range of musicians and artists that are based in the town and to provide a community-focused gathering which invites all to join in a festive celebration of our music scene. The festival is organised by Northampton Music 365 – a not for profit, community group, in partnership with a range of local organisations.

125th Anniversary year Every Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday from 6th April to 28th September 2 - 5pm   Enjoy live performances from local bands and musicians at the Abington Park Bandstand, every Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday from April through to September.* Bring your own chairs, picnic blankets/rugs and relax within the picturesque surroundings of Abington Park. This year's performances start on 6th April and run through to 28th September. Please view the full 2025 schedule below. *There will be no Bands in the Park performance on 21st September, but you can enjoy the Rockin' Roadrunner Festival instead! Please note that performances may be shortened or cancelled in the case of inclement weather.
