Each Friday morning, join us for a new adventure through stories, music, art, and crafts. Discover the museum in a fun, friendly, and creative environment where imaginations soar and friendships blossom. Plus, enjoy a tasty snack for your little one and a well-earned tea or coffee for you! Every week brings a new theme to explore: 12 September – Autumn Adventures 19 September – Let’s Play Games! 26 September – Pets & Vets 10 October – Journey to the Stone Age 17 October – Light & Dark (Diwali) 24 October – Spooky Halloween Fun These sessions are perfect for children aged 2.5 to 5 years, accompanied by parents or carers (no ticket needed for adults)....

Northampton are delighted to bring you an evening with one of the world’s top Rugby Referees Nigel Owens MBE. After playing to a sell-out crowd across venues in the UK, Nigel returns to celebrate the release of his book The Final Whistle with tales from on and off the field. Nigel is one of the most engaging and humorous characters in the game of Rugby Union. He is also the only referee to be appointed for three consecutive Heineken Cup finals and forever will be renowned and admired for displaying a dry sense of humour and sharp wit when dealing with players during the heat of battle. This an evening simply not to be missed for any sports fan, as he recounts stories from his life and career. There will also be an opportunity for a Q&A in the second half of the evening

Heritage Open Days 2025

Heritage Open Days is back from the 12th - 21st September and promises to be bigger and better than ever! What to expect Heritage Open Days is a fantastic opportunity to explore some of Northamptonshire’s unique historic buildings and sites. Many of these sites are usually restricted access or charge for entry – but for the event they will be open and free of charge, allowing you to find out about the area’s vibrant culture and heritage like never before! Heritage Buses Northampton’s beloved heritage double-decker buses are back, running from George Row on 20th and 21st September - a perfect way to explore the town in vintage style. Keep an eye on this page for route and timetable updates, and look out for printed schedules at Northampton Museum and library soon. The classic buses will also be returning to Daventry on 13th September, after being such a crowd-pleaser last year. Don’t miss your chance to hop on and enjoy the ride!
