Simply download the LoyalFree app and scan the QR codes at each spot to uncover the answers to the riddles. Complete the trail to receive a delicious chocolate treat and you’ll also be entered into a prize draw to win one of two £50 vouchers to spend locally! EXPLORING THE SOCIETY'S COLLECTIONS. The society has a number of important collections including - butterflies, shells, eggs, sands, microscope slides, rocks, minerals and Northamptonshire fossils. This is a great opportunity to look at our extensive collections, to draw, study them or just appreciate their beauty. Also, if you wish to assist us conserving or documenting you would be welcome

They’ll create a classic murder mystery on-the-spot in this ingenious improvised comedy. You, the audience, become the author as the cast act out your very own Agatha Christie-inspired masterpiece live on stage. At each show this extraordinarily talented company use audience suggestions to create a unique, original and extremely comical murder mystery just for you. All you have to do… is solve it! Ms Gold poisoned at a synchronised swimming gala? Dr Blue exploded by cannon during a hot air balloon race? Professor Violet crushed to death at a Love Island recoupling? You decide! But will you guess whodunnit before the killer is revealed?
SKYLAB - NASA'S OFTEN FORGOTTEN TRIUMPH by John Dunthorne from Cleethorpes & District Astronomical Society. John looks at the origins of the Skylab concept, how it nearly met with complete disaster during launch and had to be rescued by astronauts and how it was ultimately a huge triumph. Guests are very welcome.

Contemporary Stitched Textiles The Bassett-Lowke Rooms Sat 8 Mar 2025 - Sun 25 May 2025 An exhibition of Contemporary Stitched Art Textiles We are delighted to be hosting this new exhibition of textiles and mixed media work which has been created by the Visualise textile group. Visualise was formed several years ago, by like-minded artists who enjoy creating diverse work with stitch as the common thread. The exhibition will also feature work by internationally known textile artist and Embroiderers Guild member Nigel Cheney who is the current mentor to Visualise. On display is a diverse array of abstract, realistic and figurative art using a wide variety of media: paper, fabric (new, distressed and recycled) and found objects which are hand and machine stitched, or felted to create art inspired by both the natural world and the built environment. The exhibition includes textile art inspired by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and 78 Derngate itself, with framed and small items for sale. Combining a look round the iconic Charles Rennie Mackintosh House before visiting the exhibition, gardens and shop, followed by partaking of some drink or food in The Dining Room is the perfect way to spend a glorious few hours in Northampton...
