A new comedy, set in Northampton, about growing up online. FULL CAST ANNOUNCED! Aidan’s lost. His best mate’s starting uni, his mum can’t get out of bed, and his new side hustle has questionable legality. Meanwhile, he’s stacking shelves at the supermarket wondering if this is all he’s cut out for. He’s got hobbies – hanging out at the skate park and doom scrolling his days away. As he’s lapping up the algorithm ‘Hugo Bang’ appears with the promise to help Aidan become the alpha he was born to be. Will Hugo Bang help Aidan get his life back on track, or will he lead Aidan to a darker, more dangerous place? Directed by Jesse Jones, this brand-new play by local playwright Samson Hawkins (author of Stratford East’s critically acclaimed Village Idiot) crackles with dry humour and a modern-day wit. Transforming the Derngate auditorium into a skatepark, this Made In Northampton production dives headfirst into the influence of online culture, the pull of toxic masculinity, and the search for identity in the digital age. Top Gs Like Me was developed with the support of the National Theatre’s Generate programme. Initially developed through the Royal & Derngate Generate programme in partnership with Andy Routledge.

A selection of short films from this year's submissions including drama, horror, dark comedy and experimental films. The bar is open outside the screening room from 4.30pm with room to network and socialise! Tickets are free so we usually sell out - so please let us know if you can no longer make it so we can release your ticket. Please arrive by 7pm - we cannot hold unused tickets if there is a waiting list on the day so your ticket may be released to someone else if you are not there at the beginning of the screening. This event has an 18 certificate - proof of age may be required. Contains strong language and threat. Step free access on tarmac paths from University car parks and from St Johns multistorey car parks using lifts. Lift to first floor of The Creative Hub. Disabled toilet facilities. While there is no dedicated quiet space you are able to move around the University to find quieter spaces to step away from the event if needed. James Seabright presents Biff to the Future Fresh from an acclaimed, award-winning Edinburgh Festival Fringe premiere, Biff to the Future is coming to Northampton! The iconic villain of Back to the Future takes centre stage in this comedic reimagination of Marty’s time-traveling escapades, turning the celebrated cinematic trilogy on its head from the perspective of Biff, the bully audiences love to hate. This new, heartfelt and unauthorised parody explores the highs and lows of a life chasing power, fame and fortune, reliving Biff’s encounters with Marty and Doc across the centuries. This Edinburgh Fringe Theatre Award 2025 winner is perfect for superfans and newcomers alike! Created and performed by Joseph Maudsley (as seen in the Reduced Shakespeare Company, FRIEND (The one with Gunther) and Potted Potter). Directed by double Olivier Award nominee Daniel Clarkson.

An exhibition of artworks from NMAG's collection celebrates the variety of genres, methods and media used by women artists, from the eighteenth to the twenty-first century. Northampton Museum & Art Gallery Saturday 11 November - Sunday 12 April 2026 Throughout history, both men and women have created art, yet only a select few have been remembered within Western art history. Art by men was historically valued more highly than art by women, reflecting broader beliefs that only men could possess artistic or creative genius. Certain genres and mediums were also considered more prestigious, while work made in the domestic sphere was dismissed as craft or decoration rather than recognised as fine art. Women were barred from studying nude figures a crucial part of classical art training until the late 1800s. Second-wave feminism in the twentieth century, and wider social changes in the twenty-first, have challenged these hierarchies. Today, women are at the forefront of artistic production, with artists such as Tracey Emin, Maggi Hambling, Rachel Whiteread and Jasleen Kaur recognised as leading voices in contemporary art.

Northampton Museum & Art Gallery Saturday 17 January - Sunday 22 March 2026 The artist has been described as 'a modern master of the medium of stone carving' and his works are collected worldwide. The exhibition has two strands celebrating human life and the force of water. Visitor Advisory: This exhibition includes sculptures featuring the nude human form and parental discretion is advised.

Northampton Filmhouse has step free access to the screening room but only 1 wheelchair space and only 1 row of chairs without using steps.
