Alison Goodyear, Michelle Keegan and Michael Evans are artists engaged in a collective exploration of ideas and enquiries pertaining to materiality and a diverse array of technological processes within our respective disciplines of painting, printmaking, and virtual reality. The collaborative works embody the synergy between the mechanical, the digital, and the handcrafted.
Thursday Museum Talks
Join us for our popular hands-on and fun pre-school sessions for the under-fives. Explore the museum through stories, music, art and craft activities whilst making new friends and creating memories in an engaging and family friendly environment. These sessions are for pre-school children (from 2.5 to 5 years) and their parents and carers. Held on Friday mornings during term time with a different theme each week. Refreshments are included and booking essential as places are limited.
Interest in Pre-Raphaelite art has enjoyed something of a resurgence over recent years, with the National Portrait Gallery’s 2019 re-consideration of the contribution made by women and now Tate Britain’s exhibition re-evaluating the artistic legacy of three of the Rossettis. Our understanding of Pre-Raphaelite art is undergoing something of a paradigm shift. Using examples of works by eminent Pre-Raphaelites from the museum’s own collection, ProArtium will overlay new scholarship with popular favourites by Burne-Jones, Holman Hunt and others.

FIRMLY ESTABLISHED ON THE TRIBUTE SCENE, THEIR LIVE SHOW HAS THE POWER, PASSION AND THE CREATIVE EDGE TO WHIP AUDIENCES INTO A FRENZY WHEN DELIVERING THE POWERFUL TUNES OF THE ARCTIC MONKEYS AS THE WAY THEY SHOULD BE. THEIR REPUTATION GREW VERY QUICKLY AND IN 2009 RECEIVED APPROVAL FROM CLOSE RELATIONS TO THE ARCTIC’S AS WELL AS CHRIS MCCLURE (FROM THE FRONT COVER OF THE ALBUM ‘WHATEVER PEOPLE SAY I AM, THAT’S WHAT I’M NOT’ AND BROTHER OF LEAD SINGER – JON MCCLURE, FROM REVEREND AND THE MAKERS). THERE HAVE BEEN TOO MANY HIGHLIGHTS TO MENTION THEM ALL BUT MAIN ONES INCLUDE ROCK REVOLUTION IN SICILY, OXEGEN FESTIVAL 2010 IN IRELAND AND THE LIVERPOOL MATHEW STREET FESTIVAL, PLAYING IN FRONT OF 50,000 PLUS PEOPLE AS WELL AS INTERVIEWS AND APPEARANCES IN Q MAGAZINE, MTV AND SKY NEWS. RARELY IS THERE A TRIBUTE BAND THAT CAN RIVAL THE ORIGINAL YET THESE 4 LADS MIMIC TURNER, COOK, O’MALLY AND HELDERS STYLE PERFECTLY.
We have teamed up with West Northamptonshire Council to stage an interactive Christmas song lyric trail around the town centre throughout December. Using the LoyalFree app, visitors to the town will be given a list of locations to visit where they need to answer questions and complete the lyrics from favourite Christmas songs. The Christmas Song Lyric Trail is delivered by Northampton Town Centre BID and funded by West Northamptonshire Council.
