Join us to celebrate Diwali, with cultural food and drink, community stalls, live stage entertainment, henna painting, arts and crafts, saree dressing and the spectacular Diwali lantern procession and magical parade, featuring breathtaking giant puppets including Harminder the elephant. Stalls open at 10am | Parade starts at 6pm The event is organised by the Indian Hindu Welfare Organisation Northampton, and supported by Northampton Town Council, West Northamptonshire Council, Northampton Town Centre BID, Route Canal Arts and Rost Productions Ltd, Inspiration FM and the University of Northampton. Celebrate the magical 24th Annual Diwali Festival of Lights in Northampton Northampton's Diwali Festival of Lights is set to take place on Saturday 26th October in the town centre, with stalls and entertainment from 10am, followed by a magical light parade at dusk. This annual community festival, organised by Northampton Indian Hindu Welfare Organisation and supported by Northampton Town Council, Northampton Town Centre BID and West Northamptonshire Council, is now in its 24th year. Visitors can enjoy cultural activities such as henna painting and saree dressing, while browsing various community stalls...

The countdown to Northampton's annual Fireworks Spectacular is on! This large-scale pyro-musical event attracts thousands of visitors every year. Entry is free, with entertainment for all the family. Join us from 4pm, with a FunFair and Catering Village offering a delicious variety of food and drink. BBC Radio Northampton host the live stage entertainment with local legend Bernie Keith. Popular local covers band WHITEROOM get the party started at 4.30pm, followed by the Live Performers who will wow the crowds with their daring Fire and Pyro Show at 5.40pm. The local story of The Gunpowder Plot will play on big screens, with the Northampton Film Festival telling the tale of how history's most infamous attempt to bring down the Houses of Parliament has links to the county and resulted in the eponymous Guy Fawkes Night. Recruiting local talent, the film features many wonderful Northampton and Northamptonshire locations that played a pivotal role in the origins of the fifth of November, including Delapre Abbey, Rushton Hall and Ashby Manor House. Get ready for a bumper festive family event as the beautiful surroundings of Becket's Park turn into a Winter Wonderland this Christmas. Join us for live performances on the Christmas bandstand, magical ice rink, children's Christmas crafts and activities, festive workshops, stalls featuring seasonal produce from local community groups, businesses and organisations, fun fair rides, festive food concessions and bar, plus much more!
