Rosie Holt: That’s Politainment!

Royal and Derngate Theatre 19-21 Guildhall Road, Northampton, Northamptonshire, NN1 1DP

The worse the political career, the more lucrative the subsequent entertainment opportunities. Matt Hancock may have slaughtered millions but now he’s making a killing. So can Rosie Holt‘s viral hit MP follow “politainers” Dorries, Farage and Rees-Mogg and leap from the pages of Hansard to Heat? Following a hugely successful Edinburgh Fringe season, Rosie takes this brand-new show on the road, to tightrope the thin line between politics and entertainment. Rosie is an acclaimed comedian, actor and satirist, whose popular videos on social media have achieved more than 6.5 million views. She is the host of the podcast Noncensored, and has been seen/heard on The Russell Howard Hour (Sky Max), and BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz, DM’s Are Open, and Ashley Blaker: 6.5 Children, among many other credits.

Punt And Dennis

Royal and Derngate Theatre 19-21 Guildhall Road, Northampton, Northamptonshire, NN1 1DP

Hugh Dennis and Steve Punt are back on tour for the first time in 10 years. Older but not really much wiser, they are returning to what they do best; sitting in traffic jams wondering if a different route would have been better, and then in the evening, presenting their new live show. What have they learned from a decade of following the news for Mock The Week and The Now Show?  What wisdom has experience taught them?  And have they learned any new jokes?  Let’s hope so. They promise they have.
